I saw this pillow in CB2. I liked the concept, and added it to the inspiration board.
Rainbow was the theme for Hot Butter’s May Block. So I mixed it with the patchwork:
I really loved its look from a distance. I added the mermaids to the top since I was watching Heather Ross on Martha. How domestic can I get…gag…

I really love this rainbow patchwork you put together! I am into anything rainbow or colorwheel these days. I also love the uneven ends with the white framing it. Very cool! BTW, did you say Heather was on Martha?! Darn, I missed it!
Love them all!
Love the rainbow block!!
What a great design board! is that just quilt batting pinned to the wall?
Andi
that’s really pretty! Love the inspiration piece too
oh gosh, that is so so so so stunning!!!!! I totally want to try this!!!! Also, your sewing space is fantastic!
That’s a neat looking block. I bet it would look great with a number of different fabric combinations.
oh wow – that is gorgeous. I am also loving the design wall. How can you fit so much into such a tiny space?
The fabric wall is just something they sell that is like batting. You can use fleece or flannel. I hope someday to have a whole padded room! For now I have the corner in the living room…or the “livudio” as we call it, the living room/studio.
Wow! love how you took the inspiration and ran with it. Your patchwork always amazes me!
Looks great. And what a great way to use a bunch of lovely fabrics!
I would love to have a designwall just like yours. With the blocks on it that is!
Wonderful to see your source of inspiration!
Your version is much prettier than the CB2 pillow. I love how the fashion and home design world is mimicking the craft world these days.
Hmmmm. I do like that idea and I have tons of pillow forms! Your version is better than the original.
Beautiful! Love it…
That is a GREAT block. She’ll love it.
I am really thinking that I need to have a padded wall myself…
Hey, did you get your package of blocks???
Tina
I love your design board, I so need one. I’m also lovin’ rainbows lately, stocked myself up on some kona cottons to start working with. Your blocks are inspiring.
