Hi! I was wondering what kind of fabric was used on the last entry you made. It looks like some sort of linen. Thanks. Your blog is great!
Just wondering who makes the seahorse fabric that is in Oct 10th post?? LOVE IT!
I love that shot of JP + the little dude in shades!!
Hi Katie,
Thanks for your encouraging comments on my Incredible Shrinking Quilters’ Bee post. You also asked about the fabric in one of my blocks – you’re right, it is Alexander Henry Chitra Floral from a couple of years ago. Also, I finally pieced my values quilt top together (yay!) – because my daughter was so nuts about it, I chose the same layout you did for yours (it’s up on my blog now). It really is spectacular. I am a No. 1 fan of this value piecing now. You could have 10 quilts made from the same block and they would all look so different.
Cheers,
LEsly
Hi,
I love all your stuff! So beautiful! Where can I get one of your slings? Do you have a webshop?

FABULOUS! I am stopping after work to sign up for the Invisible Zipper class! I read your tutorial (clear as a bell, thank you!), even propped the PC next to my machine, got everything together and it STILL looked like garbage…just couldn’t get those pesky ends close enough…so I’m coming to CLASS!!!
Katie! I just signed up for your zipper class on 2/16 and I was wondering if it was just lecture or do we really get to install one? Thanx!
We’ll install one for sure!
Hey Katie,
Are you going to be teaching your half square triangle class again? Are you going to post a tutorial for it? I have taken your value quilt class and really enjoyed it. Very interested in this quilt also. Thanks for sharing your skills and creativity.
Hi there Katie
I love reading about your life as a wife, mom and quilter. You are the reason (and all the ladies you have linked on your blog) that I have started my own blog. I don’t have much on there yet but it will be growing. What amazes me most is how much “work” everyone seems to get done. I feel like I work very slow. But I guess we aren’t racing. Have a great weekend!

Hi Katie–
Could you point me to the (probably obvious) spot to sign up for a class?
thanks,
paige
Hello Katie,
I’m just sitting here with my little niece Katie and she is loving your quilts! She must be a young quilter (only 3! ) in the making
I am hoping to sign up for your magic number class today at the quiltng loft and am wondering if there is any thing I need to do to prepare. Or should I just bring some larger and smaller pieces with me and simply go to town?!
Thanks,
Ali
hi Ali,
you can sign up with the quilting loft. I will send out a supply list Monday to them and straight to you as well, but if you want to go fully improv just bring a couple yards of a solid and some scraps. You’ll get the idea quick and it will be super fun! Hope to see you Saturday.
Hi Katie,
I am a member of the Rhododendron Quilt Guild in Florence Oregon. I am currently holding the Program Directors position and am trying to line up our programs for the year 2014. We meet every 4th Weds. which is when we would have a Lecture/Trunk Show and the next day, Thurs. would be set up for a class. We have a wonderful venue at Driftwood Shores for the class with a beautiful view of the beach and ocean called Heceta Beach.
I have not found any other way to contact you. So if you could contact me that would be wonderful.
Marcia
I am also trying to find a way to contact you. I would love to recommend to our program coordinator that we book you for a lecture and class in Anacortes, WA with Fidalgo Island Quilters but I can’t find your contact info to give her. How do you handle bookings, what are your rates, etc?
Hi Katie,
I, too, am trying to contact you. I am from Quilters Anonymous in Edmonds and would like to speak with you about presenting to our guild in 2014.
